Braves TD Club would like to cordially invite all former players of Coach Burney Bourne and Brave Fans to come out Friday night and help us celebrate the retiring of Coach Burney Bourne’s jersey. Coach Bourne really established and put Cheraw football on the map when he took over the program in 1978. Cheraw won it’s first state championship under Coach Bourne in 1979 and would make two more appearances in 1992 & 1993 winning it’s second state championship in 1993. Coach Bourne’s teams played for 3 state championships and 6 lower state titles . Thank you Burney for all the memories and successes you gave to hometown Cheraw. We have an all call for Brave fans and former players to come out and celebrate with Coach Burney Bourne Friday night at the reservation!!! Go Braves!!!
